Ambassador Julianne Smith is a national-security expert with three decades of experience in U.S. and European defense policy and transatlantic relations. Her government service includes U.S. Permanent Representative to NATO, Senior Advisor to the Secretary of State, Deputy National Security Advisor to Vice President Biden, and Principal Deputy for NATO and European Policy at the Department of Defense.

Chidi Blyden is a former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for African Affairs and currently serves as the CEO of Culturally Bound Consulting and the Executive Director of Harvard University’s Center for African Studies.
