Instructions on How to Submit a BPIA Proposal or Project Request

Have an Idea? Here’s How to Get Started with BPIA

We love seeing new ideas and energy in our community! To keep things organized and fair, BPIA only reviews formal written proposals — not general brainstorming or casual suggestions.

If you’re interested in launching an event, partnership, or project, we recommend starting by joining a committee. Proposals that come through committees tend to move forward more smoothly, as they’re already aligned with our priorities.

The BPIA Board reviews proposals each month. We welcome big ideas, but we encourage you to start with a focused, realistic plan — especially if this would be your first time hosting something with BPIA.

Ready to get involved? Reach out to a committee chair and let’s build together.

Who Can Submit a Proposal?

  • Current Committee Members: Submit on behalf of a Committee, with review and input of the full Committee and Committee Chair after internal.
  • Not on a Committee, But Want to Submit Through One: Connect with the appropriate committee and submit formally with them.
  • Independent BPIA MembersYou may submit directly using the proposal submission form, but you must fully lead and manage the project if approved. (Note: a Board Liaison is required for approval. More details in Instructional Manual)
  • External Collaborators or Partners: Submit directly using the proposal submission form. Proposals must align with BPIA’s mission and focus areas.

Next Steps

If interested in submitting a project request or concept to BPIA please follow the instructions and proposal format found in this guide.
