Are you passionate about international affairs, leadership, and community impact? Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your professional skills while helping shape the future of emerging leaders?


Black Professionals in International Affairs (BPIA) is currently accepting applications for its 2026 Collegiate Council. The Council plays a critical role in supporting and strengthening BPIA Collegiate Chapters, expanding student engagement, and developing the next generation of international affairs professionals.


Serving on the Collegiate Council offers a unique opportunity to gain leadership experience, collaborate with students and professionals across the country, and contribute to initiatives that empower aspiring practitioners in international affairs.

Through this volunteer opportunity, you will join a dynamic network of student leaders committed to advancing professional development, mentorship, civic engagement, and global leadership.


We are currently recruiting for the following roles:

  • Collegiate Expansion Coordinator

Supports the national growth of BPIA Collegiate Chapters by recruiting student leaders, supporting chapter launches, and strengthening engagement across the collegiate network.

  • R.I.S.E. Youth Network Director

Provides strategic leadership, oversight, and vision for youth engagement initiatives beyond Collegiate Chapters, helping to expand opportunities for young people interested in international affairs and leadership.

  • Secretary

Maintains records, supports meeting coordination, documents key decisions, and helps ensure the Collegiate Council operates efficiently and effectively.

  • Digital Marketing Chair

Leads efforts to amplify the Collegiate Council's work through digital platforms. This role supports content creation, storytelling, audience engagement, and promotional activities across social media channels.

  • Treasurer

Oversees financial records, supports budgeting efforts, and assists with fundraising initiatives that strengthen the impact and sustainability of Collegiate Council programs.

  • Collegiate Chapter Organization Advisor

Provides guidance, mentorship, and operational support to Collegiate Chapters while helping strengthen chapter leadership, member engagement, and organizational development.
