African Diaspora Day on the Hill

Co-hosted by the Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD) with BPIA as an official partner, Africa Diaspora Day on the Hill is a signature side event of the Congressional Black Caucus Annual Legislative Conference. This gathering celebrates the invaluable contributions of the African diaspora to the United States as part of September’s Diaspora Month and the concluding year of the United Nations Decade for People of African Descent.

The event convenes U.S., African, and Caribbean leaders, senior government officials, policymakers, bankers, business leaders, academics, and cultural icons to explore how African Americans can actively shape U.S. cultural and economic diplomacy in mutually beneficial ways. Through dialogue, shared knowledge, and renewed bonds of history and solidarity, this forum advances the vision of “Global Africa”—a united front for shared prosperity and lasting impact.

BPIA membership is open to all applicants who support our mission and goals without regard to race, religion/creed, ethnicity, national origin, gender, sexual preference or identity.
