Honoring General Colin Powell: Wreath Laying Ceremony & Fellowship Gathering

Join us in a special tribute to honor the legacy on the birthday of General Colin Powell at Arlington National Cemetery. This solemn event will feature a wreath-laying ceremony at his final resting place, followed by an optional fellowship gathering in Washington, D.C.

Itinerary

  • 12:00 PM – Guest Arrival & Meeting Point at Arlington Cemetery Visitors Welcome Center
  • 12:30 PM – Group Walk to General Powell’s Gravesite (Site #60)
  • 1:00 PM – Wreath-Laying Ceremony
  • 2:30 PMOptional Fellowship Gathering at Clyde’s of Gallery Place
    707 7th St NW, Washington, DC 20001 (Meet at the first bar to the right upon entering)

Attire & Protocol

  • Attire: Professional dress with comfortable walking shoes
  • Color Theme: Purple (Symbolizing his role as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff)
  • Protocol:
    • Attendees may bring flowers to lay at the gravesite of both General Powell and his wife
    • Maintain a respectful and solemn demeanor in accordance with Arlington Cemetery etiquette (no loud talking or laughter)
