Virtual Documentary Night is a monthly online event hosted by Community Documentary Night. It is designed to give people the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions on a wide range of topics with people from various backgrounds. This event is in collaboration with Black Professionals In International Affairs (BPIA). BPIA is a charitable, non-profit membership association founded in 1989 by international educator Barbara C. Patterson and associates to increase the involvement of African Americans and other people of African heritage in international affairs.

For this Special Virtual Documentary Night, in honor of Black History Month, we are meeting to talk about the documentary, The American Diplomat. Discover how three Black diplomats broke racial barriers at the US State Department during the Cold War. Asked to represent the best of American ideals abroad while facing discrimination at home, they left a lasting impact on the Foreign Service. Leola Calzolai-Stewart will be joining us for a special guest Q&A! You can watch the film for free at the link below.
