OVERVIEW

When is the application period?

The application period will open February 3 and close March 1st. This year's program will run from April to early fall. Participants will engage in monthly university-led sessions, briefing series with experts, OSINT training, and a capstone project focused on food security.

What is the eligibility?

Open to young men aged 13-21 with an interest in leadership, international affairs, and global security.

OUR MISSION

The Boys to Men Program empowers young men aged 13-21 by providing opportunities for personal growth, professional development, and meaningful connections. Designed to inspire curiosity about the intersection of international affairs and economic development, the program nurtures the potential to contribute to global solutions.

Beyond technical knowledge, we are committed to developing leadership skills, fostering fellowship, and equipping the next generation to think critically about solving global crises. This program provides participants with a cutting edge as they prepare to navigate and contribute to an increasingly interconnected world.

PROGRAM LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Leadership Training: Workshops focusing on respect, responsibility, and relationship building.
  • Briefing Series: Guide participants in shaping their projects while fostering mentorship and networking opportunities.
  • Critical Thinking: Exploring how international affairs influence daily life and future opportunities.
  • Entrepreneurship in Foreign Policy: Understanding how entrepreneurship addresses global challenges.
  • Path to Politics: Discussing how political leaders solve local and global issues through diplomacy and leadership.

  • April: Seeds of Change: Entrepreneurship, Food Security, and Community Empowerment with the Co-founder of Ben’s Chili Bowl.
  • May: Haiti at a Crossroads: Navigating Conflict, Crises, and the Path to Resilience with the Founder of Haiti Policy House.
  • June: From Global to Local: Haiti and the International Fight for Social Democracy: Bridging Food Crises at Home and Abroad with a Carnegie Fellow.
  • July: Path to Politics Pt.1: Building Leadership and Diplomacy Skills with a U.S. House of Representatives member.
  • August: Path to Politics Pt. 2: Building Leadership and Diplomacy Skills with the Political Party President AYITI2054 and Social Entrepreneur (Haiti's Political Candidate). 
  • September: Graduation and Capstone Showcase: Solutions for a Global Challenge featuring a special guest speaker.
