Mrs. Swabb's remarks will focus on strategies for successfully navigating challenging conversations around salary and promotions. As part of her presentation, she will highlight the distinction between negotiating salaries and promotions for government vs. non-government jobs.
Speaker Biography: Mrs. Swabb is the Chief Program Officer for Fellowships and Career Development at the Robertson Foundation for Government (RFG). Prior to her work at RFG, Mrs. Swabb was a Career Coach at The George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs, where she provided guidance to graduate students and alumni on the strategic and successful achievement of their professional goals. Mrs. Swabb has a background in public service, having served as an Associate Director in the White House Presidential Personnel Office and as a Press Assistant in the Office of Public Affairs at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. She earned a Master’s in Pacific International Affairs from the University of California, San Diego. Originally from the great State of Georgia, Mrs. Swabb also holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in International Affairs and Spanish from the University of Georgia.
