Cory Bullock, Former USAID Speechwriter

Cory Bullock is a multilingual policy specialist with experience working at the intersection between conflict, human rights, and humanitarian assistance. In 2017, Cory began his professional journey at USAID as a Senior Information Officer. He also served as a Humanitarian Policy Advisor supporting USG interagency engagement with the NSC and State Department. In March 2020, Cory served as the Chief Speechwriter and Special Advisor to then-Acting USAID Administrators John Barsa and Gloria Steele and later as Advisor to USAID Administrator, Samantha Powers. He now serves as a Congressional Advisor with USAID, advising on legislative outreach strategies and coordinating legislative activity in support of the Biden-Harris Administration's foreign assistance policy priorities.

Cory is a BPIA member, former BPIA Board Member, and Security Fellow with the Truman National Security Project. He is the President of the Harry T. Moore Chapter of Blacks in Government. He is a graduate of Emory University and the John Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
