Join Black Professionals in International Affairs (BPIA) for a BPIAChats virtual leadership discussion with guest speaker, Aleya Horn Kennedy.
Aleya Horn Kennedy is the Director of Programming and Training for Peace Corps Sierra Leone. She possesses over 15 years of program development, management and monitoring and evaluation experience, with a special emphasis in the fields of maternal, newborn and child health; sexual and reproductive health; and youth development. Before becoming the Director of Programming and Training, she was a Program Specialist in the Office of Global Health and HIV with the Peace Corps. In this role she served as the technical lead for programmatic and training support in the areas of youth health and well-being, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, and noncommunicable diseases.
Prior to coming to Peace Corps she worked at the Association of Reproductive Health Professionals. During her tenure at ARHP she managed a portfolio of continuing education and training programs for health professionals and patients focused on sexual and reproductive health topics.
She holds a Master of Public Policy with a concentration in Education, Social, and Family Policy from the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University. She is an RPCV from Paraguay (2002-2004), where she served as an Urban Youth Development Volunteer.
